An educational recruitment agency in Bath is seeking a committed 1:1 teaching assistant to support a child with complex needs. The role includes providing tailored support, promoting emotional regulation, and ensuring inclusion during school activities. The ideal candidate should be empathetic, reliable, and available for full-time work during term time. Training and support will be provided.
Five Education is working with a small, welcoming primary school in west Bath to recruit a committed 1 : 1 teaching assistant to support a child with complex needs. This position will begin in November and will likely run until the New Year, with the potential to extend.
The role will involve working closely with one child, providing tailored, consistent support to help them access the curriculum, regulate emotions, and thrive within the school environment. As the child has mobility issues, being comfortable and confident providing intimate care will also be required.
You’ll receive support and guidance from your dedicated Five Education consultant, along with access to free training such as Makaton, Team Teach and PMLD Awareness.
