  • Daily Rate: £14.63-£16.35 p/hr
  • Location: Blackburn, BB1
  • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

Reed/ Lancashire teaching agency are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a temporary position from January 2026 and is expected to last for the academic year! The role is required for 5 days per week from 08:30 – 15:30

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Main duties include working with a pupil with high needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
  • Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
  • Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
