Job summary

Academics is looking for positive and flexible 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our team in Southampton. You will support pupils in 1:1 settings, helping them reach their learning goals across English and Maths, with a focus on speech, language and social communication needs.

We offer flexible hours and days, a supportive consultant, competitive rates of pay, and ongoing opportunities across daily supply, short-term, long-term and permanent contracts.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work with children individually or in small groups to enable them to perform to the best of their ability.
• GCSE C grade or equivalent in English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with speech and language needs and social communication needs.
• Support pupils across the classroom as needed to assist overall learning outcomes.
