Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with SEMH and ASD at a welcoming primary school in Wellingborough.

About the Role

This role involves providing one-to-one support to a pupil with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver a supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH and ASD
  • Implementing individual education and behaviour support plans
  • Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional regulation
  • Supporting access to the curriculum through differentiated learning activitiesBuilding a consistent and trusting relationship with the pupil
