Job summary

A supportive educational staffing agency is seeking a Full-Time, Term-Time Only Primary Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) support in schools across Crawley. This rewarding role involves helping children with various additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, and Speech and Language Difficulties. Candidates should have experience working with children, possess strong communication skills, and meet essential academic qualifications. Mentoring and training are included.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an educational or care setting.
  • Confidence in dealing with challenging situations.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Essential Requirements: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) and eligibility to work in the UK.

Dedicated Primary 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Role

Are you a nurturing and patient individual driven by a passion to support children with diverse learning needs? Randstad Education is seeking a Full-Time, Term-Time Only Primary Teaching Assistant to provide crucial 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) support in schools across Crawley.

The Opportunity

This highly rewarding role focuses on helping individual pupils overcome academic, social, and emotional barriers. You will be essential in supporting children who present with various additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Behavioural Challenges. You will collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored strategies and track student progress.

What We Seek

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Experience working with children (education or care setting).

  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to challenging situations.

  • Confidence in supporting pupils with SEN or behavioural needs.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Essential Requirements: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) and eligibility to work in the UK. (Relevant SEN experience is highly desirable.)
