Job summary

A proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant is needed at a primary school in Tower Hamlets to support a KS2 pupil with ASD. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support and enable effective engagement in lessons.

The role is full-time, long-term with ASAP start, daily rate £90-£110 depending on experience. The school has a Good Ofsted rating and is within walking distance from the nearest train station.

Qualifications

• Previous SEN experience essential.

The Role - 1:1 TA

As a 1:1 TA, you will be responsible for supporting a KS2 pupil with ASD on a 1:1 basis. You will provide individualised support to help the pupil engage with lessons, build confidence and develop essential life skills. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will implement individual support strategies, promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and social development. Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary environment is essential.
