Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support for learners in York (YO19). The role involves delivering personalised tuition during weekdays school hours, focusing on SEN needs to build confidence and re-engage with learning.

You will deliver sessions in core subjects, adapt strategies for ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and monitor progress with supporting records. This part-time position offers flexible hours and a rewarding opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
• Ability to deliver personalised and differentiated learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support students in core subjects, including English and Maths.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
• Plan and deliver personalised lessons that promote engagement.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
