Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition and personalised support to a student with SEN in the Tunbridge Wells area. You will create a supportive, engaging learning environment and adapt lessons to meet the pupil's individual needs, building confidence and motivation.

In this role you will work closely with the family and our education consultant to monitor progress. A patient, empathetic approach and excellent communication are essential to help the student

Qualifications

• An experienced SEN Tutor, Teacher, HLTA or SEN professional.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
• A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach.
• Someone who can engage and motivate a student on a 1:1 basis.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition to a student with SEN.
• Create a supportive, positive and engaging learning environment.
• Adapt learning to suit the student's individual needs and abilities.
• Build confidence, motivation and a positive attitude towards education.
• Develop a strong and trusting relationship with the student.
• Work closely with the family and Academics to support progress.
