Coleman James is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil in South Shields. You will help the pupil access learning and build confidence within the school day, collaborating closely with the class teacher.
This role focuses on social, emotional and academic development, promoting independence and positive relationships with peers. A caring, patient approach and flexibility to meet individual needs are essential for success.
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Year 1 pupil, providing tailored support throughout the school day.
You will play an important role in helping the pupil access learning, develop their confidence and build positive relationships within the school environment.

Previous experience working with SEN, SEND, autism, ADHD, social and emotional needs or within a primary school environment would be highly desirable.
Experience working with children of a similar age would also be advantageous.
