Role Details

We are seeking a skilled Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil on a 1 to 1 basis while also working with small groups in the classroom setting. The post is for five days a week (16.25 hours) Monday to Friday: 8:45am‑12pm. This fixed‑term contract ends on 20th July 2029. The role requires an enthusiastic, caring support with a “can‑do” attitude, a flexible approach, and a commitment to raising standards for those they work with. They will partner with class teachers and the SENCO to support learning aligned with the National Curriculum.

Responsibilities

Support pupils on a 1‑to‑1 basis and in small groups; implement behaviour management strategies; provide medical and intimate care as needed; engage pupils with specific and significant needs; maintain calmness, patience, and flexibility at all times; use own initiative; undertake training to meet individual needs.
