1:1 Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant Apprentice

£10.99 per hour for the first year, rising to National Minimum Wage in the second year

26 hours per week term time only

We are looking for a positive, caring Teaching Assistant to work with our fantastic family of children and staff at St. Peter’s. Our ideal candidate will be able to form strong, caring relationships with both children and staff, be hard‑working and reliable and have a good sense of humour! You will support and care for a KS2 pupil with Special Educational Needs every morning, working closely alongside the class teacher to ensure their academic and pastoral needs are met. In the afternoons, you will provide more general classroom support. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to our happy, lively, growing school community.

Our broad and wide‑ranging curriculum is rooted firmly in our local context and Christian values. We incorporate a wide range of visits and visitors, high quality texts, outdoor learning and sporting, musical and artistic opportunities into our everyday practice. Working closely with St.Peter’s Church, the village of Edgmond and the Newport cluster of schools, we are a thriving, outward‑looking school at the heart of our local community.

If you have a genuine desire to impact positively on children’s lives and are willing to go the extra mile when needed, we would love to show you around our friendly school so that you can get a real feel for what we are all about.
