Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: East Preston Pay Rate: £90–£95 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to become part of a friendly and inclusive school in East Preston. This role offers a fulfilling chance to positively impact a pupil’s learning journey while assisting teachers in delivering tailored educational support.

Role Overview

A 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) offers personalised support to a pupil with particular educational or additional needs, helping them engage fully with the curriculum.

As a 1:1 LSA, you will:

• Deliver individualised support to pupils with specific learning needs or additional challenges.
• Help pupils engage with the curriculum while building their confidence and independence.
• Work alongside teachers to implement tailored learning plans and classroom strategies.
• Foster positive behaviour, resilience, and active participation in school activities.
• Observe and report on pupil progress to inform adjustments to support as required.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

Requirements for 1:1 LSA

• Prior experience working with pupils with SEN or additional learning needs is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and adaptability when providing personalised support.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
• A true commitment to supporting pupils’ academic achievement and personal development.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
