Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Core Subjects Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition in Preston (PR4). You will support students across KS2–KS4 in English, Maths and Science, with sessions held on weekdays during school hours.

The ideal candidate has QTS or relevant tutoring experience, a track record of helping learners including those with SEN, and an enhanced DBS.

The role offers flexible, local tuition assignments, ongoing consultant support and access to CPD courses.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification or tutoring experience.
• Experience teaching across KS2-KS4 in English, Maths, or Science.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and Science.
• Support KS2, KS3, and KS4 pupils.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies for diverse abilities.
• Monitor progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
• Tuition sessions take place on weekdays during school hours.

Core Subjects Tutor - Preston (PR4)

TP-Tutors are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Core Subjects Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to pupils in the Preston (PR4) area.

This rewarding role involves supporting students across Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, and Key Stage 4 in English, Maths, and Science. Many pupils require additional academic support due to gaps in learning, SEN, SEMH needs, or being out of mainstream education.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and Science
• Support pupils across KS2, KS3, and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
• Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
• Monitor progress and complete session reports following each lesson
• Tuition sessions take place on weekdays during school hours

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring/teaching experience
• Experience teaching or tutoring core subjects across KS2-KS4
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN and additional needsStrong communication and behaviour management skills
• A flexible and student-centred approach to learning
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
