Job summary

A prominent education provider in Banbury is seeking a 1:1 Autism Teaching Assistant to work closely with a child diagnosed with Autism. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology, with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs. This full-time role requires skills in empathy and communication to help engage the student and assist in their development.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate with a relevant degree in Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology.
  • Experience working with Autism preferred, whether professional or personal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with one child who has Autism and additional needs.
  • Help the student engage in classroom activities and develop independence.
  • Assist the class teacher and provide support to other pupils when needed.
