A state transportation agency is seeking candidates for limited-term winter maintenance positions in Saint-Didier-de-la-Tour. Ideal candidates will engage in roadway maintenance and must have a valid CDL at hiring. This role includes operating vehicles for maintenance activities and may require additional licensing. Strong commitment and capability in outdoor tasks during winter months is essential. The position is full-time from October to April, subject to availability.
FILLING SEVERAL LIMITED-TERM WINTER MAINTENANCE POSITIONS THAT MAY LAST FROM OCTOBER TO APRIL, BUT WITH NO GUARANTEE.
Position(s) will work full-time hours during the limited-term assignment.
This position performs maintenance of state trunklines within the right-of-way for an assigned maintenance garage geographic area. This position may be trained to operate any piece of equipment or operation done in a typical maintenance garage. The major operations or equipment used are listed in the following duties. This position is required to participate in the work element system and travel with crews in assigned geographic areas of the garage. This position may be required to work region wide while on temporary assignment to the Region Maintenance facility or a traveling Crew. This position operates a vehicle or vehicle/trailer combination with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more when performing maintenance activities.
The salary listed reflects the minimum rate at the entry (6) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E8) level. Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

Education typically acquired through completion of high school.
Transportation Maintenance Worker 6, 7, E8 — Must possess a CDL at the time of hire.
Transportation Maintenance Worker E8 — The MDOT Statewide Work Element Coordinator must approve satisfactory completion of the MDOT TMW Work Element training and certification program.
Some positions within this class series are assigned job duties that may require possession of a commercial Pesticide Applicators license in compliance with the Pesticide Control Act of 1976.
