Job Description

Join a bootstrapped, early revenue startup making the headlines on its way to equity financing in the next 18 to 24 months. Backed by France 2030, recognized by LVMH Innovation Award, Innovation Makers Alliance (IMA) Corporate Award, ANDAM Innovation Special Jury Award, Hubspot's Emerging AI Champion... GoldenEye Smart Vision's state of the art solution has the industry excited by its first production deployments, after years of in-house R&D and occasional external lab collaborations. Luxury, High end and mass market brands and manufacturers are using the solution.

Hosted in Paris' Station F at La Maison des Startups LVMH, GoldenEye Smart Vision has to address the challenge of setting a new frontier in textile quality control by both industrializing its current achievements and redefining the state of the art continuously.

Expectations

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to work on our backend services.

As a key technical contributor, you will design, build and maintain backend services. The system is still evolving quickly: reworking components from scratch is not excluded. We expect you to take part in the elaboration of architectural decisions, and to find a balance between shipping fast and shipping clean.

Although the team is mostly composed of native French-speakers, we address a global market and are open to hire internationally. We expect you to be at ease speaking, writing and reading in English.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to work on our backend services, with at least 5 years experience in software engineering/programming.

• Proficient in Python and at least one related web framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask...)
• Knowledge of SQL databases
• Solid understanding of algorithmic design
• Ownership and capacity to ship products end-to-end
• Strong communication skills, whether it's distilling technical content to non-technical co-workers, or efficiently collaborating with peers
• Autonomous, yet knowing when to reach for help
  
  

In addition, experience with any of the following could be an advantage

• Devops, infrastructure related processes (especially when applied to ML products)
• Frontend development (React)
• Industrial computer vision systems
• Modern C++
