Job Description

As a Senior Product Designer at Malt, you will shape the next generation of our AI‑powered platform, directly influencing the experience of both clients and freelancers. You will translate complex, high‑impact business challenges into elegant, intuitive, AI‑driven product experiences and lead strategic design initiatives across the product ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define the experience strategy and lead design end‑to‑end: collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to influence roadmaps and deliver high‑impact solutions.
• Design Human‑AI Collaboration: shape Malt’s approach to AI‑powered interactions such as recommendations and agentic tools, applying best‑in‑class AI‑design patterns.
• Prototype, test & optimize AI experiences: explore new AI concepts, define success metrics, and refine the experience based on user feedback.
• Lead user research and champion a service‑design approach: gather deep insights and ensure a cohesive experience across all touchpoints.
• Deliver high‑quality design: craft intuitive solutions that solve complex interaction problems.
• Evolve the design system: develop and steward the design system for consistency across the product ecosystem.
• Inspire design excellence: foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
• Communicate design rationale: clearly articulate decisions to stakeholders at all levels.

About You

• 5+ years of product‑design experience with a strong strategic portfolio.
• Deep expertise in SaaS and enterprise platforms and a proven track record of shipping AI‑powered products that deliver measurable business value.
• Expertise in user‑centered design principles and a passion for exceptional product experiences.
• Proficiency with Figma and other prototyping tools.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate the design process.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong interpersonal relationships across cross‑functional teams.
• Strategic mindset and holistic view of the user journey and product ecosystem.
• Collaborative spirit and desire to work in a high‑performing, ego‑free team.
• Comfortable with iterative product development in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent in English.

• Experience designing for two‑sided marketplaces.
