Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair the Security devices systems. The security devices Service Technician will assist with repairing and calibrating systems and replacing various components. As well as diagnosing problems and offer alternative solutions. You will be responsible for security devices systems from installation to end‑of‑life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. The ability to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition covering the Depot Workshop in Cairo Metro Line 3 stations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the security devices supervisors in carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications in the stations.
• Ensure the maintenance tools & equipment are in good condition.
• Survey buildings and repair systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
• Leaning, adjusting and repairing security devices systems, and performing warranty services.
• Close supervision and leadership of subcontractors to ensure that they are following the PM plan without failures.
• Troubleshooting defective security devices systems and equipment to make diagnoses.
• Performing preventive maintenance according to the maintenance manual.
• Performing corrective maintenance, quickly tracking and resolving malfunctions.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Dealing with the software for the baggage scanner devices, overcoming and resolving its faults and making a continuous update of its software.
• Knowing the wiring diagram for the baggage scanner devices, overcoming, and resolving its faults.
• Knowing spare parts of baggage scanners devices, the function of each part and its fault, overcoming and solving it, and how it is installed and dismantled in the correct ways that maintain its safety.
• Knowing all safety means to prevent X-Rays from leaking outside the device.
• Knowing all precautionary measures that must be followed in the event of X-Rays leak outside the device. Knowing the correct steps to be followed for the X-Rays devices to operate and extend its lifetime.
• Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Health and Safety Act.
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed to ensure all environmental and safety rules are respected and alert Executive Maintenance of any environmental and safety issue.
• To undertake any other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work after hours when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of security devices and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

Experience

• Minimum 5-years work experience as a qualified electrical, mechanical, or electro‑mechanical technician in maintaining and repairing depot equipment is highly preferable. DESIRED BEHAVIORS
• English - fluent in speaking, reading and Arabic is a must.
• Must have good eyesight and normal colour vision.
• Strong mechanical mind, and ability to grasp the complexity of inner workings of rolling stock.
• Ability to use and calibrate various electrical, electronic and mechanical test equipment and PC.
• Ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings as required.
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
