Job Description

Join a dynamic team of scientists, engineers, and technicians dedicated to advancing the design of analog and digitally controlled power converters. As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will transform theoretical concepts into practical power conversion products, providing technical leadership in this innovative domain.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop state-of-the-art power converters.
  • Lead the development of new power conversion products from concept to reality.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and validate active power converters and motor control products for aerospace applications, focusing on 115VAC, 400 Hz to 28-800VDC, 1kW-20kW, 1 and 3-phase systems.
  • Design and troubleshoot DC-DC power converters ranging from 0.8V to 800V and 100W to 20kW.
  • Develop schematics and oversee PCB layouts.
  • Engage in system integration to create specifications and develop test scenarios.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in power electronics and hardware design.
  • Experience in power system engineering and DC-DC conversion.
  • Knowledge of ZCS converters and military standards.
  • Proficiency in PCB design using software like OrCAD and PLS-CADD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of three years related experience, or a relevant degree with five years of related work experience.
  • Experience with DFX and aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160).
  • Visionary mindset with a long-term focus on team and organizational success.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities.
Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $125,000.00 - $185,000.00/yr.
