A prominent research organization in France is seeking a skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to focus on CIC-fused sarcomas and their interactions in cancer pathogenesis. The candidate should have expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, and data analysis. Responsibilities include characterizing interactions and validating therapeutic strategies. The role offers full-time commitment beginning January 2026, and candidates with a background in cancer research will be prioritized.

Qualifications

Offer Description

CIC-fused sarcomas are aggressive cancers with limited treatment options. We have gathered evidences suggesting that some specific interactors of CIC::DUX4 play critical roles in this sarcoma pathogenesis. In the frame of an INCa PLBIO funding, this project will focus on:

  • Characterizing the CIC::DUX4 interactions using advanced biochemical and cell biology techniques.
  • Deciphering the downstream signaling pathways affected by these interactions.
  • Validating small molecules to inhibit these interactions, with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies.

This project involves collaboration with biologists, chemists, physicists and bioinformaticians.

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry and cancer biology, and experience in the following areas:

Molecular Biology

Cell Biology

Cell culture, immunofluorescence, proximity ligation assays, functional cell-based assays

Drug Discovery

Data Analysis

Proficiency in statistics and statistical software (GraphPad, R, Python)

Candidate Profile

Candidates having several of the following additional assests will be prioritzed:

  • Experience in sarcoma research or related cancer models
  • Familiarity with epigenetic mechanisms and chromatin biology
  • Experience with zebrafish models of cancer
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
