Offer Description

Compound screening to identify SPAK activators and inhibitors regulating the KCC2 transporter in hippocampal neurons in vitro and in vivo.

  • Design interfering peptides and perform compound library screening to identify SPAK activators and inhibitors
  • Assess the selected compounds through chloride imaging in cultured hippocampal neurons
  • Validate 2–3 preselected candidate proteins in vitro and in an in vivo epilepsy model
  • Chemistry: molecular screening and compound characterization
  • Neuroscience: advanced microscopy techniques, neuronal culture and transfection, immunostaining, and super‑resolution imaging
