This postdoctoral fellowship, funded by Institut d'Acoustique - Graduate School (École Universitaire de Recherche, EUR), aims to attract young researchers to the Acoustics Laboratory at Le Mans Université (LAUM, Le Mans, France) to conduct research and promote their progress toward scientific independence. The Acoustics Laboratory of Le Mans Université, with 160 members including around 70 permanent researchers, is a joint research unit (UMR 6613) between the Le Mans Université and the CNRS. It is the research entity of Institut d'Acoustique - Graduate School and a leading international laboratory in acoustics and wave physics, equipped with a unique set of experimental facilities. The recipient of this postdoctoral funding will conduct their research at LAUM, where they will have opportunities to interact and collaborate with researchers working in the laboratory's three teams.
A more detailed schedule will be established based on the profiles and projects submitted. The first few months will be devoted to defining and implementing methods to address the scientific issues raised by the project. The work carried out as part of the postdoctoral program must ultimately be published in leading scientific journals and the young researcher must participate in one or more conferences.
Conduct research in line with LAUM's scientific priorities. The research project submitted with the application must be developed by the candidate in coordination with a LAUM researcher, group, or team. All applications must be accompanied by a letter of support from a LAUM researcher who will act as the candidate's scientific supervisor.

* A research project will be provided, describing the context, topic, expected output and implementation of the research during the post-doctoral period. This project should fit with the research lines of the laboratory. In addition to a research project, applications must include at least two academic references (name and contact details).

The proposed project will be part of LAUM's research activities and areas of expertise (Guides and Structures, Materials, Transducers), so scientific skills are expected in one or more of these areas. The working environment offered at LAUM will enable the development of theoretical, numerical, or experimental work depending on the candidate's profile and project. Finally skills in writing reports and scientific publications are essential.
The contract is for a period of one year. The provisional start date is April 1, 2026. The gross monthly salary is € 3030.
