Chemistry is facing a digital revolution which is going to profoundly modify the way chemists think and perform chemical transformations. Chemistry 5.0 will massively take advantage of integrated information technology systems, algorithms, and automated machines to reinvent the concepts of chemical synthesis.

The research program ChemAI led by Prof. F.-X. Felpin aims to develop a fully integrated flow platform designed to autonomously work for chemical optimization through the massive use of digital technologies. The research fellow will join a multi-disciplinary and international team at the research institute CEISAM, working on the development of autonomous flow reactors for chemical synthesis.

The project aims at

1/ developing a new optimization Bayesian algorithm and

2/ improving the process-control software already developed in the team.

The research fellow will also strongly interact with the team of chemical synthesis.

The Research Institute CEISAM is the molecular chemistry laboratory of Nantes Université, located in a recently constructed building that provides cutting edge facilities. CEISAM is located in the vibrant city of Nantes.
