A renowned research institute in France is offering the Henri Poincaré early-career researchers fellowship, a two-year post-doctoral contract for candidates who have completed their doctorate and wish to independently develop a research program in Earth and Universe sciences. Successful candidates will be evaluated by a committee based on their scientific excellence and the relevance of their proposed research. This opportunity aims to foster independent research in a leading scientific environment.

Description du poste

The Henri Poincaré early-career researchers fellowship funded by the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur and the Idex Université Côte d'Azur JEDI offers a two-year post-doctoral contract aimed at early-career researchers who have completed their doctorate (or PhD) and post-doctorate elsewhere than at the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur and wish to develop their research program around the theme of Earth and Universe sciences independently. The scientific excellence of the candidate, the relevance of the proposed research program as well as its adequacy with the scientific scope of the establishment are key elements in the selection of candidates.

Before submitting his(her) application file, the candidate will identify a scientific referent at the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur (https://www.oca.eu/fr/) to accompany them during his(her) stay within the establishment. The referent is responsible for submitting the file, writing a letter of support for the candidate and his/her scientific program, receiving the letters of recommendation and obtain the approval of the unit director.

Candidates must already have passed their thesis at the time they submit their application.

Applications will be evaluated by the Poincaré committee, which emanates from the scientific council of the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur.
