A leading Oil & Gas company located in France, Bretagne is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician - Mechanical. The successful candidate will optimize the reliability and availability of equipment through effective maintenance activities. Minimum 10 years of experience and fluent English communication are essential. Attractive remuneration package offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil & gas or petrochemical plants.
  • At least 5 years of offshore level on-field equipment experience.
  • Minimum 4 years recent experience in a similar role.

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a :

Maintenance Technician - Mechanical

Job Purpose

To optimize the reliability and availability of equipment under area of responsibility through completing maintenance activities in accordance with NOC approved operation procedures, guidelines, legislative requirements and industry best practice.

Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities and champion initiatives that enable maximum production and injection output within the parameters of environmental compliance and process safety.
  • Provide Team Lead with regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results. Be held accountable for area of responsibility.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with external parties, functional teams and corporate groups as required to meet NOC strategic business and operational objectives.
  • Contribute to improvements, development and implementation of department activities, processes and procedures.
  • Complete safe and efficient replacement and repair activities in the event of failure or malfunction ensuring quick restoration; troubleshoot malfunctions and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Optimize production and uptime when executing maintenance activities which require shutdown / isolation or equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and report repetitive equipment failures.
  • Prepare adequate documentation and reporting for offshore management consideration regarding wrong design, poor workmanship, non-compliance to NOC standards; take appropriate action within level of Authority.
  • Contribute to identifying improvements to planned maintenance routines.
Qualifications
  • Ideally you have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
  • You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication.
  • You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • High School Diploma / Technical certificate in Discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years recent experience in the petrochemical, refining, oil/gas exploration and/or production industries in a similar role.
