Machining Process Engineer

Mission
As a Machining Process Engineer, you’ll be the technical authority for machining operations, responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing manufacturing processes. You’ll lead projects from concept to production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety across all phases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading feasibility and quotation studies for new machining projects
- Developing and managing process plans and schedules aligned with project milestones
- Ensuring timely delivery of technical and process-related deliverables
- Designing, validating, and optimizing machining processes (turning, milling, drilling, etc.)
- Selecting and consulting with tooling and equipment suppliers
- Conducting comparative studies of supplier offers and supporting procurement decisions
- Managing CAPEX requests and tooling budgets
- Overseeing equipment installation, commissioning, and safety compliance
- Ensuring conformity with relevant standards and directives (e.g., Machinery Directive)
- Providing technical documentation and training for production and maintenance teams
- Driving continuous improvement in ergonomics, maintainability, energy efficiency, and environmental impact
- Monitoring emerging machining technologies and proposing innovative solutions
- Supporting prototype and sample production for new product launches
What You Bring
We’re looking for a hands‑on engineer with deep expertise in machining and industrial process development.
You should have:
- Advanced knowledge of machining operations and process engineering
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and material behavior during machining
- Familiarity with mechanical strength principles and tolerance analysis
- Experience managing complex technical projects and innovation initiatives
- Proficiency in simulation and improvement tools (e.g., SMED, DOE)
- Mastery of problem‑solving methods (5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D)
- High‑level technical reporting and communication skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
