A leading engineering firm in Paris is looking for a Lead HV Electrical Engineer to design offshore High Voltage Transmission Equipment and support renewable energy projects. The role requires a Bac +5 degree and at least 10 years of experience in High Voltage engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network architecture, regulations, and relevant software tools. This is a full-time position offering a chance to work at the forefront of energy innovation.
Our client is looking for a Lead HV Electrical Engineer with strong design experience of offshore High Voltage Transmission Equipment and Network Engineering (HVAC / HVDC) with good practice of the European transmission and distribution of High Voltage electricity regulations including sizing of HVB equipment and long-distance power transmission cables.
Your scope will cover all the markets in which our client is present: primarily Marine Renewable Energies (offshore substations) as well as Conventional energies (upstream gas and oil reduction of GHG emissions from installations offshore and onshore) and New energies (Hydrogen ammonia e-fuels and CCUS offshore and onshore).
Your area of responsibility will encompass the support of the Doris Business development team in securing new offshore engineering projects as well as the development of the discipline.
You will be involved in a wide range of projects from conceptual to detailed study phases with a wide variety of activities including:
As part of a project team you will be in charge of the electrical studies carried out and the follow-up of the subcontracted studies with direct communication with our customers. You will also ensure the technical coordination of the project team on the electrical part as well as the interface with the customer teams.
You will be in contact with and cooperate with other technical departments (process mechanics electricity instrumentation control systems 3D modeling etc.) as part of your responsibilities on the project.
As a Senior HV Electrical Engineer you will help maintain the level of knowledge of the discipline. This includes participation in R&D activities through internal studies the development of engineering tools the monitoring of regulatory developments and the development of the HTB technical reference system.
