We are seeking a motivated and skilled Java Spring Boot Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Lille, France. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend services and APIs that power our business applications.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture with solid communication skills in both French and English, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Support & Development :

  • Provide support and enhancements for Java-based applications and microservices.
  • Handle incidents, service requests, and troubleshoot issues reported by business users.

Technical Analysis & Troubleshooting :

  • Analyze, debug, and resolve functional and technical issues related to Java Spring Boot services, REST APIs, and database integrations.

Incident & Problem Management :

  • Monitor application performance, identify root causes of recurring issues, and implement long-term corrective measures.

Stakeholder Communication :

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements, deliver timely solutions, and ensure user satisfaction.

Documentation & Reporting :

  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including API specifications, deployment guides, and support logs.

Compliance & Security :

  • Ensure all code, configurations, and deployments follow organizational policies, security best practices, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications :

Education :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

  • Hands-on experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot, including design, development, and troubleshooting of microservices-based applications.

Technical Expertise :

  • Strong proficiency in Java (8 or above) and Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Data, Security).
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Knowledge of microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
  • Experience with Gradle.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub/GitLab, and automation tools (Jenkins, Maven).
  • Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka is a plus.

Languages :

  • Fluency in French and English.

Soft Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset, especially regarding performance and scalability challenges.
