Job Description

Within the Department of Quality Assurance for Wheels and Brakes at Safran Landing Systems, you will be the client interface for quality issues. Your mission will focus on:

  1. Client Relations:
    • Be the primary contact for the client regarding quality aspects and support program managers in this domain.
    • Build and maintain a trust-based relationship with the client.
    • Prepare, coordinate, and monitor client audits, consolidate Corrective Action Requests, and ensure their effective implementation.
    • Ensure the durable and effective implementation of agreed actions.
    • Represent the voice of the customer internally.
  2. Incorporation of Customer Requirements into Development:
    • Support the preparation of commercial offers concerning quality aspects.
    • Analyze customer requirements, establish, and maintain quality deliverables, translating them internally and to the supply chain.
    • Plan and ensure coherence of quality deliverables for technical projects (Quality Assurance Plan, Industrial Validation File, etc.).
    • Assist in preparing and participating in program and client milestones, ensuring quality and compliance of deliverables and expectations.
  3. Product Compliance and Performance in Series Life:
    • Establish quality performance reports for programs, identify areas for improvement, and lead improvement plans.
    • Manage quality events with OEM clients and in service (Quality Escape, Deviations) and communicate with OEM clients.
    • Ensure causal analysis, correction of customer feedback, and related communication are properly handled.
Job Requirements

To qualify, you should have:

  • An engineering degree with theoretical and practical knowledge in mechanical engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in client relations and project management, demonstrating cross-functional management skills.
  • Fluent English, practiced daily in a professional environment.

Desired qualities include:

  • Methodical, persistent, with strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Autonomous, available, responsive, and dynamic.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, easy communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage meetings and lead discussions.

Additional assets include:

  • Knowledge of the aerospace sector.
  • Experience with metallic materials and surface treatments.
  • Familiarity with EN910X standards and Part 21 regulations.
  • Proficiency with quality tools and methods (8D, PFMEA, audits, etc.).
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP processes.
Additional Information

Work onsite for interactions with the Design Office, support in service, and program teams. Occasional travel to clients, partners, and production sites (4-5 times per year).
