About the Role – HR Manager France

To support the rapid growth of our operations in France, BYD Europe is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead all HR-related activities within our French entity. Based at our European Headquarters, you will be a key member of our dynamic, international HR team, working closely with both local business leaders and our HR Headquarters in China.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR contact for our French operations, providing strategic and operational HR support to local business departments;
  • Collaborate with the HR HQ team in China to align global HR strategies with local implementation, ensuring compliance with French labor laws and practices;
  • Design and implement local HR policies and procedures in line with the company’s broader HR framework;
  • Lead core HR functions including recruitment, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, training & development, and organizational planning;
  • Support local leaders with talent management initiatives and advise on workforce planning and development;
  • Provide feedback and insights to the HR HQ team regarding the local effectiveness of HR policies and projects;
  • Ensure legal compliance and manage HR risks related to employment practices in France;
  • Represent the company in external HR matters, including with labor authorities and legal advisors when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Fluent in French and Chinese (both spoken and written); English proficiency is a strong plus;
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR, with at least 2 years in an HR Manager or similar leadership role in France;
  • Strong understanding of French labor laws, social regulations, and HR best practices;
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, ideally within an international company;
  • Self-driven, highly organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating across regions;
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
