Key accountabilities
- Shape a group Real Estate strategy and support operationally real estate initiatives execution as a solution to i) meet business needs, ii) serve group strategy and ambition, iii) protect group against real estate related risks, and iv) optimize costs.
- Impact organization and provide strategic workplace & RE portfolio vision with the objectives both to develop, rationalize and optimize Real Estate footprint and to reduce P&L and B/S impacts.
- Liaise with business stakeholders & senior management to identify and shape opportunities and optimization path.
- Foster innovative solutions, including financing. Lead Real Estate committees, design comprehensive asset plan aiming to deliver tangible financial performance. Deliver real estate roadmap.
- Measure performance from cash, P&L and B/S perspective and with operational KPIs, enforce Alstom saving plan (AT500).
- Monitor or drive project execution (including building construction or fitout) and support risk management.
- Deliver benchmarks and financial reports (aEBIT performance and B/S optimization).
- Contribute to or lead acquisition, asset sale, lease negotiation / termination, following DOA rules, support M&A initiatives.
- Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- Support development of sustainability initiatives and asset resilience to climate changes.
- Lead HQ facility Management team. Ensure quality of service for HQ, performance and budget under control.
- Support Procurement in global IFM deployment preparation.

- All Real Estate assets (office, depots, industrial site, logistics)
- All countries and all Alstom entities
- Asset management, asset acquisitions, asset disposal, M&A support, building development, site compacting and site masterplan
Main required competencies
- Strong leader with diplomatic sense across organization, agile, team‑player not afraid of challenges.
- Know‑how and expert with in‑depth understanding of real estate business and clear accountability. Strong capacity in asset management and real estate, transactions, project planning.
- Understanding and designing complex projects (master planning, sales & lease back, financing lease – purchase, retrofit).
- Solid financial knowledge (P&L, B/S, DCF valuation, financial scenarios comparison, financing, performance analysis), legal and technical background.
- A master’s degree or undergraduate degree with additional equivalent work experience is required.
- Experience in working for investors, developers, Real Estate Investment Funds, Real Estate private equity, “end user” or Real Estate advisor.
- Being an RICS member would be a plus.
