The Club Manager will be responsible for the oversight of gym operations to ensure an exceptional Judgement Free member experience, as well as a financially successful club. The manager will serve the community by enabling all people to enhance their lives, leading a team of employees in a positive and motivating manner while providing continuous assistance in employee training and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high‑performing staff consisting of Assistant Managers, Front Desk Representatives, Fitness Instructors, and Cleaners.
- Create a culture of positivity and motivation within the club and among staff.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines. (+1)
- Complete all payroll functions in a timely manner.
- Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered.
- Lead by example and maintain consistent accountability for direct reports by training and coaching, ensuring adherence to the company’s values and goals.
- Administer and process all weekly/bi‑weekly employee payroll.
- Resolve employee issues or concerns.
- Complete monthly and annual performance evaluations for the team.
- Uphold the integrity and security of staff files and sensitive company documents.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
- Take prospective members on a tour.
- Demonstrate an unparalleled knowledge of computer systems to complete any membership‑related function.
- Explain and promote the club’s unique fitness instruction classes, helping members keep their workouts new and exciting.
- Facilitate all member requests, issues, and questions.
- Be prepared to take control of, assess, and assist in emergency medical situations.
- Uphold the club’s rules and policies, including opening and closing procedures when applicable.
- Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
- Ensure safety for employees, members, and club property.
- Communicate equipment repair needs promptly to the Director of Operations and the assigned Maintenance Technician.
- Manage marketing efforts by ensuring staff is trained on all promotions.
- Ensure staff completes all HR‑related forms and processes.
- Track daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports and statistics.
- Act as a brand ambassador by leading a Judgement Free lifestyle.
- Conduct a minimum of five interviews weekly.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience working as an Assistant Manager at Planet Fitness.
- Exceptional leadership, diplomacy, and listening skills.
- Hardworking, enthusiastic, and energetic.
- Current CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Availability via phone during non‑working hours.
- Representative of the company’s core values (respect, passion, family, teamwork, fun, trust, and loyalty) at all times.
- Become a Certified Trainer Manager (CTM) certified within six months of becoming a manager.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
Physical Demands
- Continual standing and walking during shifts.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Frequent climbing, balance, kneeling, and crouching during shift; must never put oneself under equipment.
