Overview

American Civil Constructors West Coast, established in 1987, is a heavy civil construction company qualified to bid and perform work for State DOTs and City & County Public Works agencies across the United States. We are currently hiring for a full‑time Project Manager to work out of our Benicia, CA office. Relocation assistance is provided.

Location & Travel

This location‑based position encompasses worksites throughout the United States and requires an average of 25% travel. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. Overnight travel, when required, will include meals and lodging.

We specialize in retrofitting and repairing bridges and performing specialized pavement overlays for DOTs and public works agencies. Responsibilities
  • Scheduling; tracking production and inventory
  • Handling subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Coordinating and supervising varying work schedules (for day/night work) and crew mobilizations from job to job
  • Working closely with project owners, prime contractors, inspectors, field engineers, field superintendents, and subcontractors/suppliers to successfully complete construction projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management (other majors may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis)
  • 5+ years of construction‑related experience
  • Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
  • Ability to multi‑task in a challenging construction environment
  • Excellent computer skills, including strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Willingness to learn, good organizational and time‑management skills, ability to work as a team, and great communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Primavera P6 experience highly desired
  • Valid driver’s license required
