Account Manager - POS

Description

Part of a team servicing a key global account. The role will include on-boarding the local client and delivering a first-class service to the global and local marketing and procurement communities. We are therefore looking for a strong communicator, good organizer and problem solver. The candidate will have responsibility for meeting and exceeding revenue and contribution targets set in the monthly and yearly forecast along with achieving our client contracted commitments.

This role requires regular travel to Marseille for approximately two days every two weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the client sales and profit budget is exceeded and that all costs related to your orders are strictly controlled.
  • Work alongside the Senior Account Manager / Account Director to develop a Client Account Plan and deploy the strategy to the team and client.
  • Ensure customer service is a priority. Identify and resolve all issues relating to customers within agreed SLA’s.
  • Provide professional presentations to customers as and when required.
  • Based on customer briefs initiate all product development and source new concepts in collaboration with Procurement and Creative.
  • Produce accurate customer quotations and ensure quality samples and artwork for proposals. Diligently follow-up all quotations distributed to generate orders.
  • Communicate order status to key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Participate in industry trade shows to develop and maintain business relationships, improve product knowledge and identify opportunities to increase sales.
  • Develop market business plans by researching the customers and trends. Identify cross-selling opportunities and act on these.
  • Monitor competitor’s promotions and activities and share information with team members.
  • Analyse management information, financial and sales reports to ensure achievement of objectives and budget.
  • Submit all requested reports including but not limited to customer weekly reports, forecasts, profit Improvement plans and MI to the Account Director in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate creativity and share new ideas with peers.
Skills and Experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive product knowledge and the ability to identify feasible product solutions for the client.
  • Excellent project management skills are key to the role, and a high level of detail is expected.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate client briefings with our creative teams to ensure most effective response and product solution.
  • Understanding of individual cultural differences and ability to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Team player with the ability to lead by example.
  • Problem solving and the ability to identify and clearly present solutions.
  • Have a basic understanding FMCG route to market process.
  • Engage with client brands and shares the commitment to achieve mutual objectives.
  • Proven track record in managing Far East sourcing projects would be distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret client briefs and offer innovative product solutions which fulfil brand and promotional objectives.
  • Must have experience servicing FMCG client brand teams.
  • Identify and resolve any key issues relating to customers within established guidelines.
  • Professionally research the market, to analyse complex management information, financial and sales reports to monitor achievement of objectives and budget.
  • Have the desire to keep abreast of competitor offerings and to get to know customers on a personal level.
  • Effectively manage client reviews and communicate with internal teams to ensure service improvements are implemented where necessary.
