Job summary

Vaaka Partners in Helsinki is seeking an Analyst Intern to gain hands-on experience across the investment process, from market analysis to LBO modelling. The role offers exposure to a leading Nordic private equity team and a four- to five-month fixed-term placement.

You'll work on screening potential investments, conducting industry and financial analyses, and participating in meetings with founders and management teams, with English and Finnish fluency required.

Qualifications

• Interest in private equity and a strong desire to develop your skills in the field.
• Previous internship experience in management consulting, investment banking, M&A, private equity or another relevant field.
• At least 2 years of studies with excellent academic results.
• Solid analytical skills and the ability to solve problems independently.
• Strong communication & teamwork skills, with fluency in both English and Finnish.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and drive.

Vaaka Partners is looking for students to join our team as Analyst Interns in Helsinki. These are fixed‑term positions lasting 4-5 months, available in autumn 2027 and spring 2028.

The Analyst Intern Position

A unique opportunity to work with one of the leading mid‑market private equity teams in the Nordics.

You will be an integral part of our case teams, involved in every phase of the investment process.

You will participate in meetings with founders, management teams, industrial advisors, and other business leaders, not just desktop work.

Your role will offer a broad introduction to private equity, including screening potential investments, conducting industry and financial analyses, and working on LBO models.
