Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Test Engineer to maintain, test, and upgrade our ALD thin-film coating products. You will work with our own demo and R&D systems, gaining hands-on experience across the full product portfolio, performing preventative and ad hoc maintenance, installation and testing of delivery systems, and validating upgrades.

You will document completed work, communicate findings and improvement proposals to internal stakeholders, and contribute to safety initiatives to boost

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the technical industry.
  • Technical or technician background.
  • Knowledge or experience in mechanics, automation, pneumatics, or related fields.
  • Ability to work independently with a precise, proactive, and structured work style.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Good skills in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).

About the Role

As a Test Engineer, your main responsibility is to maintain, test, and upgrade our ALD thin-film coating products. You will primarily work with our own demo and R&D systems, giving you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full product portfolio. Your work will include periodic and ad hoc maintenance, installation and testing of delivery systems, as well as assembling and validating product upgrades. You will also play an important role in ensuring laboratory safety, cleanliness, and operational reliability. Documenting completed work and communicating findings, issues, and improvement proposals to internal stakeholders are essential parts of your daily routine, with the aim of improving system uptime and performance.
