Job summary

Greenstep in Espoo is hiring a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to own system architecture for a new multi-tenant SaaS product. You will work across Go core, Python layer, and front-end with React, ensuring correctness, documentation, and auditable changes.

The role emphasizes architecture influence, high standards, and collaboration within a small, senior team. The position is hybrid, with at least 50% in the office.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building production backend systems, including several years operating them.
• Distributed systems in depth with networked services and fault tolerance.
• Multi-tenant SaaS design with tenant isolation and data residency concerns.
• Deep Postgres design, indexing, transactions and isolation levels.
• Postgres at scale, partitions, read replicas, and sharding concepts.
• Strong TypeScript or Python skills; Go is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the system and define boundaries between services.
• Design and build end-to-end services across Go core and Python layer.
• Own multi-tenancy model and data residency considerations.
• Shape the product architecture with a senior, evidenced approach.
• Review peers' work and document decisions with clear writings.
