HUS IT Administration is seeking a Software Specialist for a permanent position within the Patient Systems responsibility area, specifically the Regional Patient System Services unit. The role involves product responsibility for three different system entities: a speech recognition system used across HUS and surrounding wellbeing areas, the operational management system for the Poison Information Center and teratological information service, and a service guidance and space management system used in HUS and the Kymenlaakso wellbeing area.
Key responsibilities include acting as a link between end-users and system providers, monitoring and analyzing technical and administrative developments, performing application testing, and reporting service and development costs. The specialist may also act as a project manager for development tasks, assist in procurement, manage configuration documentation, guide integration development, and ensure continuous improvement in quality, risk, and information security.
The position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Finnish and English is required. Experience with patient information systems, software testing, HL7 standards, specialized healthcare processes, and ITIL service management is highly valued. The role is based in Helsinki and offers a hybrid work model with 2-3 days of remote work per week.
