Job summary

Visual Components is seeking a Software Engineer for the Product Infra team to shape product architecture, streamline customization, and modernize deployment pipelines and test infrastructure. The role combines coding, collaboration with DevOps and QA, and hands-on work to support a growing customer base.

You will work in a hybrid model, onsite a few days per week to foster collaboration and team cohesion, while contributing to scalable, reliable software.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C# and/or C++, with Python as a bonus.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft tech stack (Visual Studio, Azure, Azure DevOps).
• Solid build and dependency management proficiency.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Hands-on desktop deployment experience and modernization of legacy code.
• Excellent communication and ability to work across teams.
• Fluent English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to improvements in product customization and the desktop build system.
• Modernize the codebase and surrounding infrastructure.
• Report and own issues through to resolution.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Engineering Lead to reach common goals.
• Improve performance, stability, and overall system quality.
• Champion continuous improvement in development tooling and process.
