Job summary

Hoxhunt in Helsinki is seeking a seasoned full-stack engineer to ship end-to-end features across the stack (TypeScript/Node.js, React) and help shape a product focused on human risk management. You will own architecture, collaborate with a small autonomous team, and drive technical decisions with data-backed impact.

You will evaluate tradeoffs, mentor peers, and contribute to a high-velocity, AI-enabled product in a hybrid work setting with weekly Helsinki office visits.

This is a key role in building Hoxhunt's new product, helping organizations to see, understand, and act on human risks.

Your mission

Make risk insights clear and actionable. You'll ship new features and improve parts that matter the most - APIs, high-throughput event processing pipeline, a flexible data visualization system and a powerful automation builder.

What You’ll Own And Drive

Features are shipped end-to-end, together. Team own defining scope and architecture, building it and ensuring code runs smooth in production.

Lead the architecture and development of our systems. Raise the bar around you through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing. Tech stack: TypeScript/Node.js, AlloyDB/PostgreSQL, GraphQL, React, GCP.

Decide what to build by understanding the user problem and the business impact. Evaluate tradeoffs and use real data to iterate.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 90 days, you have shipped important features end-to-end and you're influencing product and technical decisions.

By month six, you own one or more subsystems, defining the technical direction, what we build next, what we stop doing, what we invest in.

What Makes You Thrive Here

Full-stack engineer who's shipped scalable products end-to-end and moves comfortably between frontend and backend as the work demands. You connect what you build to why it matters for users and for the business. Likely 5+ years of experience, but we care more about what you've built than the number.

Fluent in TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL databases or other similar technologies.

Genuinely care about the product and its users. Under ambiguity, you’ll collaborate with the whole team to figure out the right things rather than wait for a spec.

Experience with AI coding tools, or you're interested in building the setup that makes them effective.

Bonus Points If You Also

• Experience with GraphQL, React architecture or event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience GCP, e.g. Pub/Sub or BigQuery

Who You’ll Work With

You will be joining a small, mission-driven, and highly autonomous product team: six engineers, one designer, one PM.

We own the new product end-to-end. We want ship fast in small increments: something a customer can use now, then iterate.

• Compensation: The monthly compensation range for this position is €6,000-7,500 / month depending on your experience. You may notice varying salary ranges for roles with similar titles across Hoxhunt; this is because each range is grounded in our role leveling and reflects the seniority, scope, and impact expectations required for that specific role and team, and we operate with a low hierarchy.
