Job description

Huawei Finland is seeking an experienced Simulation Expert to join our Hardware& System Lab which is one of the most original teams in Huawei Finland Research Center. Currently, we have around 20 researchers in the lab, mainly focusing on hardware simulation, thermal management, and material development.

Our Main Research Directions:

Implement AI for simulation to improve the efficiency, including structural simulation, electromagnetic simulation, and thermal simulation.

Focus on battery simulation for battery life prediction.

Focus on new thermal design technologies.

Explore solutions for CMF materials and advanced process technologies, to achieve extreme user experience.

Main Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for structural simulation and AI efficiency enhancement for consumer electronics products (including mobile phones, tablets, and PCs).
• Identifying opportunities for simulation efficiency improvement in scenarios with high nonlinearity, complex model degrees of freedom, and complex loading modes, and completing technical development based on simulation commercial software Abaqus and AI algorithms.
• Tracking the development of international cutting-edge simulation and artificial intelligence technologies, explore innovative application scenarios of AI + simulation, and promote the implementation of technological innovations.

Qualifications:

• Background in computational mechanics, solid physics, materials, numerical analysis, artificial intelligence, or related fields, with expertise in numerical algorithms, computational mechanics, applied mathematics, or related areas.
• Proficient in the following professional knowledge, including but not limited to: solid mechanics, numerical analysis methods, computational geometry, CAD, CAE, etc.
• Over ten years of development experience with Abaqus/Comsol/Ansys.
• More than five years of project management experience/team management experience/professor experience.
• Independent working ability and problem-solving skills, good at communication, cooperative, enthusiastic about new technologies, and adept at summarizing and sharing.

Location: This is a full time employee role base in Huawei Finland Ruoholahti office. Required to be work onsite.
