Danfoss is seeking a Senior Development Engineer, Magnetics & Filters, to advance magnetic component and filter technologies for high-performance power conversion systems. This role is based in Vaasa or Tampere, Finland, with a hybrid work model and collaboration across power electronics, mechanical, and software teams.

You will lead material selection, winding concepts, and validation activities, working with suppliers and international partners to deliver scalable, manufacturable solutions for

Competenze

• Strong expertise in magnetic component design including inductors, transformers, reactors and EMC filters.
• Experience developing high-power magnetic components for power conversion applications.
• Knowledge of magnetic materials (ferrite, nanocrystalline, powdered iron, laminated steel) for high-performance electronics.
• Hands-on experience with simulation tools such as ANSYS Maxwell, COMSOL, PLECS, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink.

• Lead development of magnetic components and filter technologies for power electronics systems.
• Design and optimize inductors, reactors, chokes, and EMC filters for efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to select materials and winding concepts.
