Job summary

Enfuce in Finland is seeking a Senior Exploratory QE Engineer to strengthen how we find risk before our customers do. This role uses structured exploratory testing to probe card issuing and payment processing for edge cases and security gaps.

You will collaborate with automation QE, design risk-based test plans, investigate incidents, and raise the bar on quality in a regulated environment with PCI DSS compliance. Remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality engineering or testing.
• Strong grasp of exploratory testing methodology (session-based test management, charters, heuristics).
• Able to reason about APIs, logs, databases and architecture to trace root causes.
• Experience testing distributed, API-driven or regulated fintech systems is a plus.
• Collaborates with automation engineers; understands where to automate vs. manual testing.
• Clear written and verbal communication; can turn sessions into actionable bugs.

Responsibilities

• Design and run exploratory testing charters for new features, APIs and high‑risk areas.
• Dig into complex payment and card lifecycle flows to uncover edge cases and gaps.
• Partner with automation QE engineers to decide what to automate and where to focus.
• Perform risk-based test planning for releases, identifying likely break areas.
• Investigate production incidents to close gaps in test coverage.
• Champion quality mindset across engineering and define done.
• Evolve our exploratory testing practice with charters, SBST and reporting.
• Work in a regulated, security-conscious environment with PCI DSS compliance.
