Job summary

Etteplan is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to own the electrical side of automation projects from the initial customer conversation to final sign-off in our Vantaa facility.

You will define system architecture, size components, design the solution in Eplan, and support on-site commissioning, FAT and troubleshooting.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial electrical design, deep Eplan expertise, leadership, and fluent English and Finnish; travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in electrical engineering or automation.
• 8+ years of electrical design experience in industrial automation.
• Deep Eplan expertise; Pro Panel and macro automation are a plus.
• Experience in system architecture, electrical sizing, and PLC systems (Siemens, Beckhoff or B&R).
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work on-site in Vantaa.
• Fluent in English and Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Define the electrical and automation system architecture together with customers and the project team.
• Lead the electrical design of automation systems in Eplan, and maintain Eplan standards, macros and templates.
• Integrate PLCs, drives, robots, AMRs, safety and network devices into complete solutions.
• Specify components with suppliers and size the system: power, protection, cabling and cabinet thermal design.
• Supervise installation and wiring in our Vantaa facility and on customer sites, and support FAT, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Ensure standards compliance and documentation (e.g. SFS-EN IEC 60204-1, IEC 61439, EMC), and guide and review the work of other electrical designers.
