Job summary

Lujatalo is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build our next-generation data and analytics platform in a Microsoft Fabric environment. You will modernize SQL Server/SSAS-based solutions, develop a reporting and analytics environment, and work with IT management, data analysts, and business experts.

You will design technical solutions, lead data platform development, and promote data utilization across the organization in a hybrid work model with presence in Espoo or Kuopio.

Qualifications

• University degree or higher in a data/IT field.
• 5–10 years of experience in data processing, BI solutions, or data platform development.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Platform or other cloud data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and Python for data processing.
• Experience with data pipelines, data integration, data modeling, and lakehouse or data warehouse solutions.
• Experience with Power BI environments and reporting solutions.
• Experience with SQL Server and SSAS-based solutions or modernization to the cloud.
• Experience with Git version control and modern development practices.
• Analytical, solution-focused, and development-oriented approach.
• Strong collaboration and interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the data platform and reporting/analytics environment.
• Modernize SQL Server/SSAS-based solutions to Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborate with data analysts, software designers and business experts.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of the Fabric environment.
