Recordly is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer in Finland to own end-to-end AI/ML engagements for customer projects, including GenAI and RAG-based knowledge assistants.

What We're Looking For

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you take strong ownership of complex AI/ML engagements in customer environments. Deep technical expertise is a given, but equally important is the ability to act as a trusted advisor: identifying the right problems before the customer knows to ask, choosing durable solutions over short-term experiments, and delivering end-to-end in regulated and high-trust environments. You drive projects forward while also shaping Recordly's AI/ML capabilities and best practices.

We hope you have at least five years of relevant experience.

Technical Requirements

Core expectations (you don’t need to tick every box, but most should feel familiar):

• Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering ML solutions in production: supervised/unsupervised models, feature engineering, training pipelines, and model deployment across the full lifecycle
• Deep hands-on experience designing and delivering GenAI solutions in production: RAG architectures (naïve, hybrid, agentic), embedding strategies, rerankers, and retrieval optimisation
• Strong experience with agentic systems: LLM orchestration, multi-step planning, skills, MCP, A2A, and similar protocols
• Deep MLOps and LLMOps expertise: the full lifecycle of prompts, retrievers, and models - model registry, drift detection, A/B testing, and observability
• Experience building evaluation frameworks together with domain experts: metrics, automated eval suites, and production monitoring. We treat evals as code
• Delivering responsible and regulation-compliant AI: data residency, identity integration, prompt injection defences, output guardrails, and practical application of the EU AI Act
• Deep cloud expertise in at least one environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including IaC practices and container orchestration
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing situations. Both as a technical expert and as someone who can identify and articulate business opportunities.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise-scale ML platforms: feature stores, model registries, Azure ML, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Databricks MLflow
• Understanding of real-time ML solutions and stream processing
• Ability to identify business opportunities within customer engagements and contribute to solution development from a commercial perspective
• Experience with the specific requirements of regulated industries: energy, media, finance, or similar.

What we're especially looking for right now

• Architecting and delivering RAG-based knowledge assistant solutions in production
• Designing and delivering agentic systems in enterprise environments.

Language requirements

In addition to English, we require fluent written and spoken Finnish skills, as a significant part of our customer work is conducted in Finnish.

Location

This role is based in Finland. Currently, we offer permanent remote work opportunities within the country. We cannot provide relocation support.
