Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a senior software engineer in Helsinki to drive development of a CUDA-accelerated RAN platform. You will design and optimize a 5G/6G baseband stack, working across CPU, GPU, and NIC sub-systems to meet low-latency and high-throughput targets.

The role emphasizes C/C++, Python, and CUDA on GPU hardware, with collaboration across teams and customer-facing trials. A strong background in PHY/MAC and wireless DSP is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience developing PHY/MAC or baseband software for wireless systems.
• Strong C/C++ and Python coding skills and debugging capabilities.
• Hands-on CUDA/GPU programming experience is a plus.
• Experience with LTE/5G MAC/PHY knowledge is preferred.
• MS or PhD in related field required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of end-to-end 5G/6G baseband system stack.
• Optimize CPU, GPU, and NIC sub-systems for low latency and high throughput.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose performance bottlenecks.
• Develop software with baseband functions in C/C++/Python/CUDA on GPU.
• Assist system integration, testing, and lab demos for end-to-end system.
• Engage with customer/partner engineering teams during field trials.
• Implement missing features to unblock progress and develop test tools for Aerial SDK.
