People Hive HR Consultancies LLC is seeking a Security Engineer (AppSec / GRC / AI Security) for a fully remote European position. You will own security end-to-end on a large-scale AI platform, reviewing code, driving remediation with developers, coordinating tests and audits, and maintaining the risk register.

The role requires self-motivation to operate independently and in a European time zone, with strong experience in AppSec and GRC practices.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on AppSec experience with demonstrated code review
• Hands-on engineering capability: Git/GitHub plus Python/Bash
• Experience in an AI company or scale-up with 50+ employees
• Experience conducting or coordinating security audits and penetration tests
• Able to own security independently including GRC basics such as a risk register
• Based in Europe with CET overlap and occasional evenings/weekends
• Comfortable working with adult/NSFW content on an AI platform

People Hive is supporting a client in the search for a Security Engineer (AppSec / GRC / AI Security) to join their team remotely, based in Europe.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end security role as the company's only dedicated Security Engineer on a large-scale AI companionship platform. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will review code, drive vulnerability remediation with developers, coordinate penetration tests and audits, maintain the risk register, monitor threats, manage device and access security, and track AI-specific risks such as prompt injection and jailbreaks. It is a fully remote European B2B contractor position.

Critical Requirements

• 2–3+ years of hands-on AppSec experience, having personally identified and resolved vulnerabilities, with demonstrable code review experience
• Practical engineering capability: Git/GitHub plus Python/Bash or equivalent, working with code rather than just policy
• Experience in an AI company or a scale-up with 50+ employees
• Experience conducting or coordinating security audits and penetration tests
• Able to own security independently without a large team, including GRC basics such as a risk register
• Based in Europe, with approximately 80% CET overlap and occasional evening/weekend monitoring
• Comfortable working with adult/NSFW content (the platform is an adult-oriented AI companionship product)
