Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Helsinki seeks an experienced SAP MDG Lead to drive end-to-end implementations of SAP MDG on S/4HANA, building governance frameworks and data design across Procurement, Finance, and Sales.

You will lead distributed teams, ensure data quality and integration with core processes, and work with stakeholders in a client-facing environment on global delivery programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP MDG leading implementation and rollout engagements.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP MDG on S/4HANA, configuring data modeling, UI modeling, and validation/derivation rules.
• Minimum 2+ End-to-End implementation projects on SAP MDG with S/4HANA.
• Strong experience in SAP MDG (Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance domains).
• Experience in defining data governance models, ownership, policies, validation rules, and CR processes in SAP MDG.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP MDG on S/4HANA, including data modeling and UI modeling.
• Define and enforce validation and derivation rules for MDG processes.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis, blueprint workshops, and data design sessions across functions (Procurement, Finance, Sales).
• Oversee data migration, cleansing, and validation strategies for S/4HANA programs.
• Ensure alignment between MDG and core processes (PTP, OTC, Finance).
• Ensure data consistency and distribution of master data across MDG and downstream systems.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Lead to drive end-to-end implementations of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) on S/4HANA. In this role, you will lead enterprise-wide data governance initiatives, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and reliable master data across key business domains. You will play a critical role in shaping data design, governance frameworks, and integration across business functions to support large-scale transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP MDG on S/4HANA, including:
• Data modeling
• UI modeling
• Validation and derivation rules
• Conduct fit-gap analysis, blueprint workshops, and data design sessions across business functions (Procurement, Finance, Sales)
• Oversee data migration, cleansing, and validation strategy for S/4HANA transformation programs
• Ensure alignment and integration between MDG and core business processes such as PTP, OTC, and Finance streams
• Ensure data consistency and seamless distribution of master data across S/4HANA and downstream systems

About you

You are an experienced SAP professional with deep expertise in Master Data Governance and a proven track record in delivering end-to-end MDG implementations within S/4HANA programs. You bring strong leadership capabilities and are confident managing distributed teams while working closely with business stakeholders in a client-facing environment. You have a solid understanding of data architecture and governance frameworks, and you excel at designing scalable solutions that ensure data quality and consistency. With a solution-oriented mindset and strong communication skills, you effectively drive alignment across cross-functional teams and adapt to complex, global delivery environments.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP MDG skills in leading implementation, rollout engagements.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP MDG on S/4HANA, configuring data modeling, UI modeling, and validation/derivation rules.
• Minimum 2+ End-to-End implementation projects on SAP MDG with S/4HANA.
• Strong experience in SAP MDG (Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance domains)
• Strong understanding of data architecture and integration across SAP landscape
• Experience in defining data governance models, ownership, policies, validation rules, and change request (CR) processes in SAP MDG.
• Experienced in managing the team with effective onsite/offsite coordination in a customer-facing role
• Ensure compliance with GxP, data privacy, and audit requirements where applicable.
