Job summary

Silmäasema in Salo is seeking a part-time salesperson to help customers find the right eyewear and optical services. You will join a tight multidisciplinary team and grow within the store.

The role focuses on customer-focused service, product knowledge, and handling sales through to order completion. Shifts align with store hours; full training is provided, including Silmäasema Academy courses and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to close sales.
• Ability to work with customers to select frames and lenses.
• Comfort with using computer systems for transactions and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers in frame and lens selection and manage sales through to order completion.
• Greet customers and assist during doctor/optician appointments.
• Handle handover of ready glasses and perform minor repairs.
• Book appointment times according to customer needs.

Job description

Join our expert team and help customers find the right eyewear and optical services. We are looking for a salesperson for the Saloon Silmäasema store in Salo who will grow within a tight multidisciplinary team. The role combines customer-focused service, expertise, and offering quality products and services.

The work is part-time (20 hours per week) with permanent employment, and shifts align with the store's opening hours at the Saloo Vilhonkatu location. Salary is based on the store TES table (B) with attractive bonus opportunities. We will agree on a suitable start date, ideally as soon as possible. The contract is between Silmäasema and the employee.

Duties include:

• guiding customers in frame and lens selection and handling sales events through to finalizing orders
• welcoming customers to doctor/optician appointments
• handing over ready glasses and minor repairs
• and booking appointment times according to customer needs.

To succeed you should enjoy solution-focused customer service and daily sales, be confident in recommending the right products, and be an authentic, energetic, precise, and results-driven person comfortable with customers of all ages and life situations. Good computer skills and willingness to learn about optical industry are important. Fluency in Finnish is required; you must be at least of legal age.
